Pay Claims
Unite Prudential Section has now concluded the pay talks in all 3 bargaining units, UKIO, PGDS and Corporate Property.
In all 3 areas, members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the proposals negotiated by your representatives.
In all 3 areas we negotiated a 3% pot with some additional business area specific improvements in terms and conditions.
The successful outcome of the talks and ballots are a result of your input and support of the reps in the claim and we are very grateful for that.
Security of Employment
At the end of last year Unite and UKIO business signed a new Security of Employment agreement. This agreement covers the area’s we have recognition in the UKIO business area (ie grades 1- 3, excluding Intermediaries, Craigforth, PFP and PIA).
The new agreement, which outlines the process the Company and Union will follow when any redundancies are being contemplated is designed to ensure that any compulsory redundancies are kept to an absolute minimum in any re-organisation.
The agreement can be viewed on UK Intranet site or on Prudential Section website
Learning
We are continuing our ongoing dialogue with the Company to ensure that individual development is high on the agenda. As well as conversations regarding enhancing work related learning we also are continuing to work with Reading College in providing leisure learning at a discounted rate for Unite Prudential Section members.
We have just completed a ten week introduction to Spanish course with the attendees receiving their certificates last week and a new course is just starting.
Watch out for more learning opportunities over the coming weeks.
