Prudential Branches nominate Len McCluskey for GS

Len McCluskeyAll Prudential Branches (Craigforth, Reading and London) have voted to nominate Len McCluskey for the forthcoming General Secretary Election.

All branches agreed Len has done a great job since becoming GS and has made Unite the leading fighting back union in the country.

Notice of Reading Branch (9402M) Meeting

All Unite members in this branch are invited to the above meeting which will take place in

BG:02, Ground Floor, B Block, 121 King’s Road

on Monday 4 February 2013

1pm till 2pm

To all members of Reading Prudential / Capita Branch

An election for General Secretary of Unite is being held in accordance with instructions issued by the Executive Council under Rule 15, Clause 3, and must be strictly adhered to. Accordingly, each branch is entitled to nominate a candidate for this office.

Prospective candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements of Rule 16, clause 12 i.e. have at least 5 years continuous membership of the union and have received at least 50 nominations subject to the total including nominations from more than one region.

Under the ballot rules our branch is required to hold a meeting during the nomination period (1st January to 15th February 2013) in order to determine our nomination for the position of General Secretary.

This meeting will take place on 4 February 1pm in GB:02, 121 King’s Road.

March to Save the NHS – January 26th, Lewisham

Unite Prudential Section and Prudential London Branch 0400M are supporting the above march.

The march is on SATURDAY 26th JANUARY, ASSEMBLE AT LEWISHAM ROUNDABOUT (by the station) AT 12NOON

This march is part of the SAVE LEWISHAM HOSPITAL campaign and Unite members and activists will be at the march in large numbers.
